Takeaway: Heavier books closed better today — SRIT (125.16×) finished about 19% above issue, Shah (38.12×) about 4% — but Monday’s AceVector debut showed a full book is no guarantee. No GMP, no price forecast. Not investment advice.

Analysis

Why the close matters

The morning story could only describe the mechanics. After a full cash session, both companies now have a day-one close — and the gap between them remains wide: one finished at its high, the other in the middle of its day range.

SRIT India: closed at the high

  • After a ₹150 opening trade, SRIT moved to ₹155.09 on NSE early in continuous trading and closed there. BSE closed at ₹155.05.
  • The two exchanges’ first prints differ — ₹139.80 on BSE against ₹148.00 on NSE — and the official pre-open equilibrium prices were not available from the exchanges at publication. Treat both as indicative.
  • At ₹155.09, SRIT’s 6,42,71,757 listed shares are worth about ₹997 crore, against about ₹836 crore at the issue price — a paper gain of roughly ₹161 crore on day one (Capital Chronicle arithmetic).
  • That lifts the multiple from about 19× to about 23× FY26 profit after tax of ₹43.29 crore, on the restated prospectus figures.
  • Under trade-for-trade rules (‘T’ Group for the first 10 sessions), every trade settles by delivery — no intraday netting — which tends to thin out volume. About 51.31 lakh shares changed hands on NSE and 3.60 lakh on BSE.

Shah Investor’s Home: a two-way market, modest close

  • Shah opened at ₹174.99, ran to ₹179.55 in four minutes, and closed at ₹173.79 on NSE (₹173.75 on BSE) — about 4% above the ₹167 issue.
  • At ₹173.79, the 2,11,53,200 listed shares are worth about ₹368 crore, against about ₹353 crore at issue — roughly 28× FY26 profit after tax of ₹13.20 crore, a year in which revenue fell 24.18% (Capital Chronicle arithmetic on prospectus figures).
  • The smaller premium fits the smaller book: 38× demand versus SRIT’s 125×, for a broker whose FY26 earnings were down sharply. Day volume: about 24.36 lakh shares on NSE and 3.16 lakh on BSE.

The SME board split three ways

  • Acme Universal Safezone 9 was the day’s biggest mover, closing exactly 5% above its first print at ₹106.05.
  • Pind Hospitality first printed 20% below its ₹99 issue price and closed a further 5% below that, on thin volume — 6,000 shares, i.e. five lots of 1,200.
  • Shivchem Agro opened flat at ₹62 and closed at ₹58.90 on light trade.

Vishal Nirmiti and Nityas Gems

  • Basis of allotment for both is due today under their RHP timetables, with refunds and demat credit on or about Wed 7 Oct and trading on or about Thu 8 Oct.
  • As of ~9 p.m. IST, Capital Chronicle had not located a filed basis-of-allotment document or an exchange listing notice for 8 Oct for either company. Final allotment and listing details will follow once they are filed.

What is still thin

  • Exchange-certified closing prints — the figures above are from an indicative public market-data feed; NSE and BSE quote pages were not reachable at update time
  • Official pre-open discovered prices — still not available from the exchanges at publication
  • Paramount Syntex (SME) — no primary bid or offer data verified, so it is not covered here

What to watch

  1. Whether SRIT holds near ₹155 and Shah near ₹174 in early secondary sessions
  2. Vishal Nirmiti and Nityas Gems allotment — registrars MUFG Intime and Bigshare Services
  3. R.K. Fashion Accessories final bids on Wed 7 Oct
